Egypt・Bahrain

In November we did a show in Egypt and in December in Bahrain.

I did a lot of shows without returning to Japan for a month and a half, although each was a separate contract.

First, in November, Egypt was a month-long performance in a shopping mall in the city of Sharm el-Sheikh.

I didn’t know the city and didn’t have much information about it, so I was a bit apprehensive.

I perform for a month in a shopping mall called SOHO Square, where my show space is in front of the fountain in the centre.

And the hotel where I am staying is the Savoy Hotel, which is the best hotel the client has provided for me.

Shows were held twice a day, five days a week.

This cat used to come and watch my shows and sometimes he would interrupt me.

This dog stole my ball and did not return it. It’s nice to have a shopping mall with so many animals.

Christmas was a little further away but there were lights and Christmas trees.

It was sunny every day and the temperature was pleasant and mild at night.

On my last day off, I went into town and did some sightseeing. Not a lot of sights, but it was fun to get away for the first time in a while.

It’s a so beautiful mosque.

I had a cold and a neck injury, but I’m glad I didn’t miss a day of the show.

After the Egyptian show, I go to Bahrain.

Bahrain was a new country for me to visit and again I was worried because I had no information about this place. The venue for the show looks like a cultural centre; it is called Muharraq Nights, which is apparently an important event for Bahrainis and Muslims.

It was my first experience of a show in a quiet atmosphere and I really enjoyed it.

The event has been running for a long time, but my show lasted three days. It seemed short compared to a month in Egypt.

It was great fun to have the fire show on the big stage.

After the Bahrain show, the next day I went for a walk in the city. I liked the very modern streetscape.

I wanted to do shows in Bahrain and Egypt again.
